Black Widow Spider Rescue Operation in Daylight Crosses Paths With A Curious Friendly Lizard

While moving a tarp I discovered a black widow spider and immediately looked around for any kind of sufficiently long stick or branch that I could use to gently pick it up and relocate it a safe distance from base camp. I was able to break off a dead branch of a small bursage plant. The black widow was very cooperative with getting a ride on the branch to the safety and shade of a creosote bush.
