This was one of the simplest designs I created to help with leg stretching. I wanted more nuanced control over the stretching process. I loaded a 5 gallon bucket with rocks and/or sand, placed it behind one leg while sitting on the floor. Then with a rope with a foot loop attached going around the back of the bucket, I could pull the rope and thereby drag my leg back towards it to get a very controlled side-split stretch.
