Burlap Shade Cloth Over Galvanized Can Garden To Block Sun And Wind

I've had great results so far this season with the experiment of directly placing burlap shade cloth on these galvanized can container gardens. Whereas I had previously attempted to shade the whole dome structure by clamping the burlap to the top of the dome, that strategy failed as the wind basically destroyed it. Since I'm on a water budget this year, I'm planting in less containers so the burlap I could still use was enough to cover these cans. Not only does this method provide more reliable shade, but it has an additional very advantageous effect which is that it provides a much needed wind break for the seedlings.
