Cinder Block Plastic Bin Bucket Worm Compost Tea Platform

While I much prefer to make vermiculture worm compost tea bins with terra cotta clay pots, if the budget is limited, and you don't mind the trade-off in terms of aesthetics and durability, the cinder block plastic bin and bucket system works well. I discovered the standard size cinder blocks when turned on their side, provide just enough clearance to get a 5 gallon bucket under a plastic storage bin a bit of room to spare. The concept is to build a basic worm compost system with a plastic bin. However instead of drilling holes in the bottom for drainage to just flow into the soil on the ground, you make the drainage holes funnel into the 5 gallon bucket so you can collect and use the worm compost tea.
