Creative Upcycling Craft Projects with Scrap Cardboard

I used to work for a cardboard recycling company which led to a lot of creative applications of used cardboard. When I co-ran a ecological education center we would take used cardboard scraps, tear them by hand into small pieces, soak them in water, then shred them in a normal kitchen blender. This produced a pulp that could then by used to create all kinds of recycled cardboard materials. You just use it like paper mache and when it dries to the form you have a custom object. We'd make things like paper air planes, envelopes, stationary, theatrical masks, biodegradable nursery seedling pots, and much more.
