Desert Bonsai Food Forest Fresh Garden Harvests
In this chapter of my permaculture lifestyle and career, I'm being taught hard lessons by the desert biome. The abundance of fertility and productivity in the coast desert becomes harsh arid, windy country that's very inhospitable to the garden plants I'd been used to growing so easily. Here I've suffered many losses and being crushed down to the smallest growing systems. Keeping a low profile, minimizing water lost to wind and evaporation, keeping the plants alive after sand storms, it takes resilience to be resilient out here. These factors also make the harvest that much more meaningful.
