Desert Fly Drinks Drops Of Water From 20 Gallon Water Storage Barrel Lid

I've had to learn to live with seasonal fly population booms out here in the desert. They're gone in the extremes of cold and heat, but in the milder months they come around and I have to make peace with them. I try to appreciate them as an equal part of the ecosystem despite their persistence in attempting to drive me crazy. I don't trap them and kill them though when they get on or near my food and drinks, I have to swat them away.
