Desert Flying Beetle Like Insect On Tray

In the summer nights I tend to get bitten and stung by a number of unidentified insects. I do my best to buffer my sleeping area, but it's intentionally by design not air tight. The moisture I provide, sweating around the clock, seems to attract just about everything. For the most part I'm not bothered. Bees will approach me during the day and are kind enough not to have attacked yet. The normal flies also seem to go away at night. But there are many other flying nocturnal insects and find their way into my sleeping area. I have to assume that the continuous dampness of my bedding provides habitat and sustenance for them. I'm certainly not going to waste effort on trying to fight them, I just have be diligent about cycling through linens and drying them in the sun. It's too hot for blankets during the summer so luckily I don't have to deal with a lot of layers. It's really just a set of two beach towels, one to wrap around my pillow, and one to lay on. Between those, my sweat and the water I used to keep myself cool get absorbed. I just drag them out soaked in the morning and hang them up to dry in the morning. That's the best I can do. It's a trade off to live with natural air flow and ventilation, I have learned to live with period co-habitation with non-lethal bugs.
