Portable Metal Cutting Board with Fresh Garden Herbs and Leafy Greens Harvest
There's nothing fancy about this make-shift cutting board and the fresh garden harvest. I just needed a solid surface to chop up the harvest before putting it all in the salt brine fermentation jar. It was just one of those things where out of the corner of your eye you see what can be repurposed for a certain task for which you don't have the ideal implement. I'm definitely trying to avoid plastic cutting boards, I'd be happy to use a wood one, though I'd want it to be the right design, and since I'm using limited water very sparingly I'd have a hard time keeping it sanitary. So the trade-off I went with as a bit of dulling of the knife which I have the tools to sharpen on this metal surface which I easy to clean.
