Egg Carton as Nursery Seed Sprouting Tray

A great way to upcycle and re-use wood fiber based egg crates is to use them for starting seeds. You just fill them with nursery seed starting soil mix and keep hydrated. They won't last forever but it's nice to give them a second life as a seed starting system. It's much better than plastic and if you eat a lot of eggs or know people who do, you'll always have a regular supply of egg cartons to put to work in the nursery.
