I've had this multi-tool for over 15 years, used it for everything, and it's still like new. Here I'm using the combination saw and file to break apart and smooth out a jagged dried bamboo pole branch node for use as a hand rail. It was snagging and needed to be made more safe and comfortable, this tool was very effective, though took more patience than a motorized tool.
