Grass Growing in Clogged Drain

This caught my attention, just a reminder of how resilient and relentless life is to get a foothold. It's daunting to think about how many transgressions against nature there are in a city. How much effort and engineering has to be applied to keep wildness from reclaiming everything. We're often reminded when tree roots buckle the sidewalk, or work their way into sewer pipes and back up toilets in the house. It's a losing battle!
