Mead Honey Wine Yeast Snow Globe

Mead Honey Wine Yeast Snow Globe

As silly as it may seem, I never cease to enjoy watching the yeast grow and proliferate in a batch of honey wine mead. It seems to have fun dancing in the solution, consuming sugars and producing alcohol, I'd have to say they're some of my best friends out here in the lone desert. I always shake and stir the fermentation jugs to allow the yeast to get better access to the honey piled at the bottom. Every time the solution gets stirred up, the yeast goes crazy and it looks like a snow globe paper weight as the yeast drops down again.
