Micro Chinampa Aquaculture Island Water Garden Nursery Tray w Seedling Pots 01
Ever since I learned of the majestic technique of island gardening, originally known in ancient Mexico as Chinampas, I've adapted it to all scales. Here I've found great utility in the nursery at a micro scale. To "sub-irrigate" the seedling pots guarantees they always have access to adequate water, and they have the option to grow roots as shallow or deep into the growing medium as they prefer. I've even at times added small fish and duck weed to make a semi-diverse aquaculture ecosystem only a few inches deep.
