Mortal and Pestle

I've found it to be very relaxing and meditative to use a mortar and pestle to grind dried herbs and spices, even to make course grain salt into a fine powder. I recommend them for everyone, it's nice to have a more rustic pace of life even though can you always just use a coffee grinder or similar. However you miss out on the pride to be take when manually processing materials with ancient stone tool technology.
