Survival Sprouting Outdoor Outer Container
At this site, I had an outdoor kitchen where the sprouting jars on their own would attract a lot flies. My solution was to find a larger outer container to ensure adequate air supply yet block out insects. These containers worked very well and even had the added effect of creating a micro-scale green house. They actually needed to rinsed less because the moisture of the drainage would remain in the container and thus keep them moist and prevent them from drying out. These still needed some rinsing to prevent mold, but I learned how to find a balance and ever since, if sprouting outside I know how to defeat the insect vector without going to war with them.
