The Benefits of Building A Pallet Based Sturdy Silk Screening Table

At our urban ecological education center, a lot of the volunteers wanted to have a silk screening station. Haven't had some experience with silk screening I knew that user either need a very expensive professionally designed press machine, or you had to create a very sturdy table. With a large pallet and some scrap lumber we pieced together a very sturdy table. Not only did building the table legs and table top onto the pallet help keep the structure from skewing under the pressure of the silk screening process, the fact that to use the table you had to stand on the pallet added extra weight and thus stability to the whole thing.
