Underground Buried Scrap Wood And Paracord Rain Water Catchment Tarp Anchor in Dry Pond

This depicts the process by which I secure the eyelets of rain water catchment tarps to the surface of the desert sand. I first tie a length of paracord to a piece of wood, then I dig a hole below one of the tarp eyelets, then I drop the wood piece in the hole and run the other end of the paracord through the tarp eyelet to get the right amount of distance and tension before tying it, I then bury the wood with sand and make sure the ground is level with the tarp. So far this strategy has done very well. The tarps have survived major wind, rain, and sand storms and have held up with the paracord and carabiner anchors very well. The only part of the system that needs to be upgraded is the carabiners, the smaller ones tend to warp and fail after a while. I've already acquired much stronger carabiners to build new systems with as well as phase out the old smaller ones.
