Urban Public Fruit Tree Foraging and Harvesting

Urban Public Fruit Tree Foraging and Harvesting

As the new green movement began to really take hold in the mid 2000s, a movement emerged to map the publicly accessible fruit trees within cities around the world. To this day these networks of urban explorers continue to add to the lists. Epic adventures were made out of discovering new trees on our own, or following directions on a map. What a cost savings to harvest all kinds of crops from trees that no one seems to care about or notice. They're just giving season after season, year after year, but within the right perspective, they go virtually unnoticed in many places. The great respect is owed to those who planted productive trees in communities long ago, even if takes a new movement to fully value them years later.
