Wild Desert Bursage Plant

In this mostly creosote bush landscape, very few other species of plants grow near them. One plant that has adapted to live near it is what's called bursage, if my plant identification is correct. There are a lot of smaller bushes of it growing interspersed between the larger creosote. I know when it's about to rain because by some mysterious effect, the moisture in the air interacts with the plant such that I'm able to smell it's fragrance if and only if it's about to rain. It's very magical to discover subtle ques within the wild that give you heightened awareness of unfolding natural events.

I will definitely be dedicating myself to learning more about how to live in partnership and mutual benefit with this plant.
